The system works by buying a single CM18445 Base (required as this is the brains of the system, see Amazon model B01HLYKBQ0), and pairing accessory Handsets (CM18045) or accessory Desksets (CM18245) to build the system to your exact specifications. A maximum of 10 accessories can be added to a single (CM18445) base in this fashion. This Handset (CM18045) comes with a recharging cradle that plugs into any 120v A/C outlet. You can charge the NiMH rechargeable battery (included) in the handset and carry it with you throughout the work day, allowing you mobile freedom to answer and place calls on any of the up to 4 Analog phone lines connected to the base unit (CM18445 base is sold separately) from anywhere in your office up to a range of 800 feet.
